In STNext, display and format your search results:
The History tab displays your session activity such as search activity, databases (files) entered, and L-numbers with answers. You also have the options to analyze an answer set, edit an uploaded structure, display an L-number structure with attributes, create a Current Awareness Alert, and manage patent families:
Displaying an L-Number: Click an L-number to bring it to the top of the session window.
Creating a Bar Graph or Data Occurrence Matrix: Click the Analyze Results icon to create a bar graph or matrix displaying field data occurrence for a particular L-number.
Editing a Structure: Edit an uploaded L-number structure.
Displaying a Structure with Attributes: Display an L-number structure with attributes.
Creating a Current Awareness (SDI) Alert: Click the Alert (bell) icon or select Create an Alert for an L-number to create an alert.
Managing Patent Families: Select Patent Family Manager from an L-number's drop-down menu to:
Create standard and custom reports and tables from transcripts:
Creating a Standard (Predefined) Report or Table: Report or table containing a standard, predefined set of fields.
Creating a Custom Report or Table: Report or table containing a custom, user-defined set of fields.
Create and manage custom report templates based on a standard, predefined template or an existing custom template you have already created.
Within an L-number, click an answer patent number to:
Creating a Prior Art Analysis: Generate a prior art result set for patents in the CAplus and CA files.
Register Links: Access direct links to register entries and websites for national or regional patent authorities.
View Claims: View independent/dependent claims for records found within the PCTFULL, EPFULL, and TWFULL files.
Use PatentPak to view patent references and Key Substances in patents in your search results:
Viewing Patents: PDF, PDF+ (with Key Substances table), and PatentPak Interactive.
